We had a phenomenal turn out yesterday for Christmas In The Village. I have never seen the shop so full with shoppers as I did yesterday. It was such a fun day! But today will be a "put the shop back in order" day. I'm open today from 11 - 3. If there was something that you forgot to pick up yesterday, or if there were "too many people in the way", stop in today. The crowds will be considerably lower. I had no idea how many people have been viewing this blog. I have a counter on the bottom of this blog but have not paid any attention to it. Could be just my kids but it's nice none the less.

I want to say a big "thank you" to everyone that has called or sent a card while I was out sick for 3 weeks. It really meant alot to me. I'm happy to say that I'm back in the swing of things and busy getting the shop into order for Christmas. Soon the Christmas decorations will be hung but I promise not to play Christmas music until after Thanksgiving!

Speaking of Christmas, there are only 39 days left! Mark your calendars for December 5th. Well, it's been 4 days since I've been in Maggies. I've been fighting health issues lately. Don't know exactly what it is I've got but I'm still alive and kicking and plan on returning towards the end of this week.

I do have a few new items I wanted to tell you about though. Some beautiful candles that are made in the U.P. of Michigan. The fragrances are extraordinary, and they come in different shaped boxes made of agate from the U.P., with mother of pearl inlaid on the tops. Once you use up the candle, the box becomes a keepsake. Very reasonably priced, makes great stocking stuffers!

Also new for Christmas, 100% real Italian marble clocks that have Sturgeon Point Lighthouse painted on them. Made in the USA!

Many of you have been asking to see pictures of my two grandchildren that are here from Hawaii. Well, here they are. Growing up so fast. They will be here until this Sunday, then they are headed back to Hawaii. I thought about bringing them into the shop with me for a few hours but with all the breakable pieces in the shop, and the fact that they both have colds, I don't think it's a good idea. Mikaela just turned 2, and Keegan will be 1 next month.
